Start your day with a substantial breakfast. Your breakfast should be rich in protein and carbohydrates. It should essentially be low in fat, as high fat takes longer to digest.
By afternoon your energy levels begin to dwindle and hence lunch is a critical meal. Include salads (sprouts, greens, soybeans, and boiled pulses), cooked vegetable in good quantity, bread, curd or a fruit in your lunch. Refined products, noodles, pastries, creamy stuff, and fast foods, burgers, chat items must be avoided.
Evening snack should include wheat biscuits, what bran, nuts, popcorn, roasted channa, fruit and vegetable juice glass of milk with cornflakes.
Have a replaced dinner after an active, pressure filled day. It is preferable to eat by eight P.M. and have some time for digestion.
The reason for many newer diseases is fast moving lifestyles have made people store boiled vegetables for a week in freezer bags, cook food during weekends and eat packaged foods right through the week. We have reached a point where we need to be educated on why we need to eat home made food. Casual dinning restaurants use tons of ingredients, some with names you haven’t heard of or cannot pronounce. Eating home food has numerous health benefits, but more importantly it gives you the option of what ingredients you decided to use or omit in your meals.
There are people who live on fast foods, packaged foods and semi cooked foods, which are brought from the market. This can be very harmful in the long run. Let’s occasionally eat out, but not survive on it. Healthy eating.
