Legs and Feet Care
Your legs and feets should be as pretty and well groomed as your face and bands.
A hard skin, uneven toe nails and hairy legs show that you are neglecting your legs and feet. Aching feet are the result of lack of proper exercise. Give them as much attention and the same beauty care as your hands. Your footwear must be comfortable. Avoid very pointed shoes, and excessively high heels, which tilt at unnatural angles while walking. Footwear should always be comfortable.
It is worthwhile taking your weight off your feet during the daytime.
Take off your shoes or sandals and lie down. Put up your feet higher than your head. Ten minutes of such relaxation will give tremendous relief to your aching feet.
Cold and hot foot-baths also help the feet. Before retiring at night, soak your feet in hot water for a couple of minutes to which a little alum powder has been added. Now soak them in ice-cold water for a few seconds. Repeat the process several times to help tired feet.
For the beautifying of your feet, rub the calluses with a pumice stone every time you take a bath. You can also gently rub rough spots on your feet with a pumice stone.
After your bath, massage your legs and feet with a mixture of glycerin and rose water. During winter, rub your legs and feet with warm olive oil at least once a week.
Leg Hair Removal
There are two ways of getting removal of hair on legs.
If you want to shave off the hair, do so immediately after your bath. Apply a little shaving cream and shave with upward strokes. Then rub some moisturizing cream on your legs.
Depilatory hair removal creams leave a smoother surface. Apply with a spatula on the hairy parts of the legs and wait for about ten minutes before wiping it off with damp cotton. Then wash with warm water and rub on some talcum powder.
Waxing is the best method of removing hair from legs.
