Pre Makeup Skin Care
Pre Make-up Skin Care
After washing, steaming, waxing and a facial, you are now ready to prepare your face for make-up.
But steaming, removing or bleaching superfluous hair, and putting on face-masks cannot and should not be done everyday.
You could go through this routine about once a week or once a fortnight. For a daily beauty routine, clean your face thoroughly with a deep-pore cleansing milk or cream and then put on some toning lotion to make your complexion smooth, cool and fresh, so that your make-up stays on longer.
For toning of skin, sometimes only cold water serves the purpose. It should be splashed on the face. Skin fresheners are available in the market for a normal complexion. Astringent is the best toning lotion for an oily or open-pored complexion.
An astringent or skin tonic should be applied on the face with cotton wool and then left on to dry.
Now your face is ready for a moisturizer. This helps the make-up to stay on longer because it clings to it. A moisturizer protects the skin from heat and wind, so even if you are not going to put on make-up, it will keep you skin fresh. Massage it lightly over your face and throat. Baby lotion can be used instead. Apply it with upward movements of your finger-tips.
