Round, Diamond, Heart Shaped Face
Round Face
A round face has nearly equal length and width. Usually, a narrow forehead and a round chin go with this type of face.
With the help of make-up and colt you should try to make your face look slender. Added length will also help. A darker foundation applied on the sides of the face, nose and under cheekbones plays up the bone structure and plays down the full curves. Lips should look thin and straight, so they should be painted inside their natural line. Your eyebrows should never be rounded, Try to make your eyes look longer, with the help of eyeliner. All those tricks will create a horizontal look and make your face less round.
For a round-shaped face it is more important to remember the don’t rather than the dos. For e.g. one should not apply blusher on the apples of the cheeks as this only serves to highlight the roundness/plumpness of the face. Identifying the cheek bone using one’s finger tips and then applying the blush underneath it and blending the blusher with the appropriate brush, using gentle outward circular strokes, moving up towards the temples, is the correct application method.

For a round face, having very thin rounded eyebrows is incorrect. Care should be taken to ensure that the eyebrows are given a well-defined arch that pulls away from the roundness of the cheeks and the centre of the face. When applying eye makeup for a round face, we should try use eye shadows, liners an eye-pencils to create elongation of the eyes to counter-balance the circular appearance of the features. Similarly if the mouth is shaped into a rounded pout, it once again emphasizes circular dimensions. Face shading can be achieved using deeper toned foundations/concealers/shading powders, to cut and reshape cheek bones and jaw lines, but once again, it takes practice and experience to correctly achieve this. Incorrectly blended shading can be disastrous. Observing carefully, in magazines and on television, people with similar roundish faces and analyzing the shading and blending will help a lot. Another very important factor in getting the optimal look for a round face is getting the correct, professional/expert hairstyle to further enhance one’s appearance. This holds true, for all face shapes as hairstyles can either ruin or perfect a person’s appearance.
Diamond-Shaped Face
A diamond-shaped face is widest across the cheekbones and narrow at the top and bottom. Make-up tricks can make your type of face look like an ideal oval one. As dark areas recede, apply a darker foundation outside your cheekbones to make your face look less wide at the cheekbones level. Highly arched eyebrows will suit your face. Lips should be made to look full with the help of lipstick.
In diamond shaped faces, when the forehead is narrow, the cheek bones are wide and the chin is pointed and this is called a kite-shaped or diamond shaped face. Here once again, the blusher is applied almost vertically in order to cut the width of the cheekbone. Eyebrows should not have a very wide gap between them and the lip shade should be medium, not too dark and not too light. Hairstyles should have long, side-swept bangs that feather onto the sides of the cheek bones. Very short hair or very long hair is not a good option.
Heart Shaped Face
A heart-shaped face usually has a wide forehead and a narrow thin. With the help of a dark and light foundation, try to minimize your face in width across your forehead and increase the width across your jaw line.
Heart shaped faces are the easiest to work on as they are naturally proportioned for beauty and require almost no modification. However, if the chin is slightly weak, then using shader underneath the jaw helps to strengthen the appearance. Naturally shaped eyebrows suit heart shaped faces the best, as does a layered, semi long, bobbed hairstyle.
Mix some white eye-shadow in your usual foundation and apply it in the centre of your forehead and at the sides of the cheekbones to create an illusion of width. Keep your eyebrows thick and straight. Now after knowing the type of face you have, you must also know the kind of skin you possess.
