Sun freckles are temporary but if you have chronic freckles, bleach them. They fade a little by bleaching. Then you may cover them up with a make-up. If you have a dry skin bleaching the freckles, apply oil on them.

Tips for Treating Freckles

1. Lime juice is a mild bleach. Pat it on the freckles and do not wash full absolutely dry.

2. Butter milk also acts as a mild bleach because it contains an acid. Pat it on freckles and leave till dry.

3. Four tablespoons of grated radish and a few drops of vinegar make an effective bleaching paste.

4. You can boil grated horse-radish in milk to make a mild bleach.

5. Boil fresh green beans, mash and apply on freckles as poultice.

6. Mix 2 ounces of lemon juice to 1 ounce of rum and apply on freckles.

7. If you want a strong bleach, boil 1 ounce of horse radish in half a litre of buttermilk for about one hour. Strain and apply on freckles.

8. For more stubborn freckles, mix together 60 grams of borax powder with 5 ounces of lemon juice. Apply the paste on the face at bedtime.

9. Another method is to dissolve 4 drams of borax in 6 drains of lemon juice and 2 ounces of hot water. Then put about 2 ounces of rose petals to soak in this solution for about one hour and then strain. After twenty-four hours, add about 2 ounces of glycerin, shake and pat on freckles.

10. Any fruit or vegetable, containing a large amount of Vitamin C, can be used to bleach freckles.
