Skin Care Tips Sunburns
When your skin is exposed to too much sun, the pigment in the skin comes up to the surface to protect the skin against burning. In the process the skin gets a darker shade and becomes rough and hard as welt. Sitting in the sun during winters and also going out in the sun during the hot summer months tans your skin. This mild sun-tan from sports or outdoor work can be easily cured by taking lots of Vitamin C and Vitamin B.
Treatment Tips for Curing Sunburns
1. Cucumber is great for protection against the sun. Peel and grate a cucumber, take out the juice and mix half a teaspoon of glycerin and half a teaspoon of rose water. Pat this mixture on sunburns for a mild bleaching and soothing effect. Another way to use cucumber for sunburns is to soak some pieces of it in a cup of milk for a few hours and then apply the milk on sunburns.
2. Equal parts of lime water and linseed oil mixed together may also be applied on sunburns for effective results.
3. Cod-liver oil has a soothing and healing on sunburns.
4. Even potato juice is good for sunburns
5. Any ordinary tea solution has a soothing effect on sunburns.
6. A face mask of egg-white mixed with a little honey and witch hazel is another remedy for sunburns.
