Natural Homemade Moisturizer for Skin Types

Natural Homemade Moisturizer for Skin Types

According to the moisturizer, there is no limit that it should be used to one particular type of skin. Hot sun beyond the limit or even the chillness or wind will affect the skin. So moisturizer is essential for all types of skin. It is enough if we have basic knowledge of choosing the moisturizer suitable for the skin type. There will be a doubt for those having already oily akin and allergic skin that whether the moisturizer is necessary.  It is important to them also.

When the moisture content of the skin is decreased the symptoms of aging appear soon. The skin variations that occur in 40 years will happen in 20+ itself. Some people will be young by age. But even they will have wrinkles in their faces. Crow’s feet like appearance will appear at the sides of their eyes. It will make their faces ugly while laughing and speaking. The laughter lines appear at the places between nose and mouth like a bracket. This is also because of the lack of moisture content in the skin.

For Oily Skin

  • Grind 100-gram barley and make it as a powder. Add milk and boil like porridge. Allow it to cool. Add 50 ml of honey, 50-gram of palm jaggery powder, 50 drops of glycerin and 50 drops of coconut oil and refrigerate it. Apply it a daily night and wash after one hour. If we use it regularly, the moisture content of the skin is retained.

For Dry Skin

  • Liquid paraffin is available in medical shops. Add 30 ml glycerin and 30 ml honey, 20 teaspoons of sugar in 100 ml of liquid paraffin. Beat it until the sugar melts fully. Apply it on the dry areas.

For Combination Skin

  • Take the small quantity of creamy layer of milk, 5 to 10 drops of castor oil, 5 ml glycerin, 5 ml honey is added and beat up well. It can be kept for 3 to 7 days and applied on hands and legs. It also can be used after refrigerating, not freeze it.

Whatever the moisturizer is whether made at home or bought in shops, add 20-25 drops of geranium oil (Aroma oil), 20-25 drops of spikenard oil, 20-25 drops of lavender oil, the same quantity of ylang-ylang oil are mixed and if used, your skin will become smooth immediately. All these four aroma oils will make the skin silky.

Homemade Moisturizer for Hands and Neck


The signs of aging will be showier in the neck and hands. It is important to use the moisturizers for these portions too. Take a few drops of any cooking oil and add a few crystals of sugar and rub in the hands to produce heat. It means while rubbing the sugar should melt. Then leave it for 5 minutes and wash with warm water.

When the hands are wet add 10 drops of lavender oil and 10 drops of geranium oil in deep moisturizing cream and apply on the hands, then wear the disposable gloves. The hands will start sweating in a few minutes. Those who cannot wear gloves can get the vapors to the hand. The pores in the hand will be opened and the moisturizer will penetrate the skin so as it removes the wrinkles and the skin becomes young.

Homemade Moisturizer for Legs


The organ which becomes more tired and quickly getting tired is of our legs. The legs will also develop the dryness and aged look. There will be pain and irritation due to dryness. Take ¾ bucket of warm water in which the legs can be soaked up to the knees. Add a handful of crystal salt and Epsom salt is available in the market now.

This removes the dirt’s in the skin and makes the leg soft and painless. Add a handful of magnesium salt too. Add 25 ml castor oil and 2 teaspoons of liquid soap or shampoo. Hydrogen peroxide is available in the medical shops. This removes the impurities that stay on the sides of the nails. Add ½ teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and Soak the legs until the water becomes cool.

After this wipe the legs with a clean turkey towel. Immediately apply the deep moisturizing cream mixed with 10 drops of liquid paraffin, 10 drops of castor oil up to the knee. Wear socks after 2-5 minutes. Wash it in the morning. If we do this for 10 days the legs having utmost dryness will turn soft and glow.
